To see them in their unmodified state, please view the original post by clicking here.

When we first walked into the bridal suite to meet Caitlin at the Four Season’s Hotel Boston, we were blown away by her sophisticated and glamorous style! Caitlin looked fantastic and was having a wonderful time getting ready with her attendants. Caitlin sparkled all day in her gown from the Blue Enzoani Collection. Our glowing bride chose her dress “Calistoga” to replicate her grandmother’s gown from 1951. Everything radiated with light – her hairpiece, veil, drop earrings and necklace, bracelet, gown and jeweled satin shoes. Caitlin glittered with movie-star quality GLAMOUR!!

Makeup and hairstyling by Yvonne of Demiche for Caitlin and her attendants was smart and natural. The floral bouquets of Dutch “Balou” cymbidium orchids and Vendela roses by Ellen Congdon of Ell Flowers were perfectly coordinated. Caitlin’s attendants wore formal long gowns in silk taffeta in rich burgundy. Caitlin’s bridal bouquet was simple but stunning with Crystal White Calla lilies and Vendela roses. The feeling of the day was smart, sophisticated, elegant, glamorous and fun!!

When entering St. Cecilia’s for a full mass service we felt transported to a heavenly space as organ music was pumped into every inch of the voluminous interior of this grand and stately church. Immediately following the ceremony we took wedding party formals in the Public Garden with the duck pond and Boston skyline as a spectacular backdrop. The light was great and our wedding party received a lot of attention from Bostonians and tourists enjoying the afternoon.

The Four Season’s Hotel was the perfect reception choice for this bride and her family who are food industry professionals. Caitlin and her dad Vince wanted a venue with impeccable food and service. Vintage cocktails selected by Lucas and Caitlin were served to guests before dinner and penny candy and specialty cocktails continued after dinner in the historic bar area of the Aujourd’hui event space. The historical teal blue walls, large oil portrait paintings in gilded frames, richly upholstered furniture and dark wood moldings created an amazing atmosphere for drinks and sweets as well as outrageous desserts and a self serve magnificent square tiered wedding cake by Cakes by Jenny Williams topped with Black Beauty roses and Dutch mini cymbidium orchids.

NOTE: the images in this feed have been downsized or removed for copyright reasons. To see them in their unmodified state, please view the original post by clicking here.

Natalie WOW-ed not only us, but everyone around her in the Public Gardens as she posed for her photographs! This wedding had a fun, vibrantly colorful and eclectic feeling that was created by Natalie’s artistic design background. This wedding was inspired by Natalie’s English heritage, her love of all things Medieval and from the rich tones of old hardcover library books, specifically a Penguin cover of the Great Gatsby and the books that sit shelved on the bookcases of the Hampshire House library, where the ceremony and reception were held. Natalie’s Liv Harris dress was made from silk organza with a ruched bodice and dropped waistline with floral origami detailing on the front. Many bystanders stopped to inquire about Natalie’s headpiece, which was a 1940′s off-white flower fastener made from feathers and accented with rhinestones and a birdcage veil.

The silhouettes of the bridesmaid dresses ranged from a strapless bubble, to a classic chiffon A-line, to a floral origami-topped retro A-line in rich jewel toned shades of emerald, raspberry, marigold, plum and pewter with pop color shoes. Each bridesmaid wore a vintage floral headband, some flirting feathers in bold retro styles. The flower girl wore a full circle tulle skirt with a deep teal ribbon on the waistband (the bride’s “something blue”). Andrew and his brother and nephews rocked black Converse high tops, and the bride was seen sporting large white sunglasses and carrying a sequined Union Jack clutch!

Many bystanders noticed this couple. Cars honked their horns as we walked back to the Hampshire House and crossed Beacon Street, with tourists hanging out of duck boats and trolleys to see this beautiful, stylish bride.

All the rich, intense, vibrant jewel tones of this fun and eclectic wedding party were pulled together by Cedar Grove Gardens‘ inspired bouquets and arrangements with generous stems of Cymbidium orchids, dahlias, dusty miller, Celosia, blue hydrangea, black-eyed Susan, ageratum, Ranunculus and ornamental grasses. The complexity and intensity of tones and depth of color of these creations enhanced and complimented the already artfully orchestrated palette of this event.

Check out the cake topper….. a maid and Knight Templar!

A blast to capture on a gorgeous day, Lauren and Matt celebrated their marriage in true New England fashion. Night Shift was amazing as always and kept the party rocking all day!

Lauren and Matt met at Assumption College in Worcester. Engagement story: June 17 2010: It was Lauren’s last day of school before summer vacation, as well as their 63rd month anniversary of when they began dating (3/17/05!) Matt showed up in Lauren’s classroom before she arrived for the big surprise. Lauren arrived bright and early and saw Matt in her room along with 24 individually wrapped pink roses and thank you notes on each of her children’s desks. Pink roses are a sign of gratitude and thanks, and Matt thought it would be a nice touch on the last day of school for all of Lauren’s hard work throughout the year. In typical Lauren fashion, her first thought was to put the roses away because her kids would ‘use them as swords’ when they arrived for school. As Matt was helping Lauren put all of the roses back into the bucket, she noticed that there was one white rose. As she turned around, Matt was on one knee, asking her to marry him. The Boston Celtics also played game 7 of the NBA Finals later that night, losing a heartbreaker to the Los Angeles Lakers.

To see them in their unmodified state, please view the original post by clicking here.

It was an honor to be asked to photograph Father Al’s 25th Anniversary with the Church. An event celebrated by approx. 400 people, there was no shortage of love and affection for the Pastor of St. Joseph’s Parish! It was fabulous to see so many familiar faces together–old and young–at one event! I feel blessed to be part of such a supportive community. In addition to the parish community members, Father Al’s family was in attendance both for the mass and the party afterward.

This little girl above, a niece of Father Al, just could not sit still! She was so cute. In the background, the musicians and chorus played and sang a beautiful selection of songs.

Isn’t this gorgeous? Its such a moving and touching image–yet very still and calm at the same time.

Yummy!! Kindly prepared by a parishioner.

One thing they kept saying about Father Al was that he wanted the celebration to be for the kids. He is just so kind. Bring on a gingerbread church (made by Ginger Betty’s Bakery of Quincy), balloons, photos of Father Al’s own childhood, face paint, a bounce house, and LOTS OF CANDY!! The last two were specifically requested by the Father himself!

This last photo may be my favorite. This is Father Al with his siblings! His sisters are kissing him on the cheek.

Thanks to all who made this happen! It was a truly special event.

Download the free Johnson Photography app from the itunes store http://itunes.apple.com/app/johnson-photo/id418791003?mt=8 and share it will all your friends! It is currently available for your iPhone and iPad. It will give you direct access to my website, new galleries, news and photography tips. Who knows, you might even appear one day in the “Daily Pic” section!
